Established in 1994 by Jelena Ostrovsky, Russian Lady's Cakes has been satisfying the sweet-tooth's of Durban with our scrumptious baked goods. We strive to be mindful of everything we put into our cakes and our signature flavours come from quality, locally sourced ingredients. Our original creations are of restaurant standards and will re-invent the way you view dessert. We supply well known coffee shops around Durban, like Circus Circus and Oscars to name a few. We also cater for bridal and baby showers, kid’s parties and corporate functions. Order something extra special for a loved one on their birthday or anniversary.

 

But why call it Russian Lady?

 When Jelena first arrived in South Africa, the locals famously nicknamed her The Russian Lady and very soon her cakes were the talk of the town. Well known restauranteur, Selwyn, insisted on serving only the Russian Lady's Cakes in his restaurants. This homegrown business blossomed and food journalists and bloggers were keen to show it off.
